FAQs

Learn a little bit more about us!

All of the ingredients we use are cosmetic grade. Even though cosmetics don't require this, most of our ingredients come from FDA approved companies and we always do fact checks on our ingredients to make sure that they are safe to use! We try to give the most information possible, so you know what you are buying. If you have any questions about ingredients, shipping or anything, feel free to fill in the contact form. We will get back to you ASAP.

 Is Lotus Cosmetics vegan?

Yes, our store has all vegan products. Animal cruelty is a serious issue, so we want to do our part to help.

Ingredients?

We value good service and quality of ingredients. Even if it means we have to go for the more pricey option. We will also be donating a percentage of our profits to different charities.

What colour tube will I receive?

As you may know, currently we have two tube colours. We choose which one to use based off of the colour of the lip gloss. Sometimes we will choose to use both colours!

How do I know if I am allergic to something in this product?

First and foremost, check the ingredients list that is provided in the description box of the product to see if you have any allergies to anything. Next, if you are still wary, do an allergy test on your wrist for 24 hours to see if you react. If not, then you should be fine to use it. Immediately stop use if a reaction occurs. We will not be held liable for any allergic reactions that occur.

Where is Lotus Beauty based?

We are currently based in Hong Kong. However, we have (and will always value) international shipping. We are currently working on moving our inventory to multiple bases across the world so we can ship locally from places like the us and the uk!

What are the attempts that Lotus Beauty makes towards being an eco-friendly business?

We are consistently striving for economical and eco friendly solutions in the beauty industry, but it can be a struggle. Especially with things like tubes and shipping, there are very few plastic alternatives that offer the same/more benefits. Luckily, we discovered an eco friendly company called Nonissue. They specialize in eco friendly shipping products such as compostable and recyclable mailers. We started using their mailers instead of bubble mailers and we eliminated all single-use plastic from our shipping packaging. We are still looking for alternatives to plastic for our cosmetic containers, but relived that these containers are reusable and can be recycled.

We are currently working on a blog to address the issues in our beauty community and solutions to these problems. Be sure to reuse our containers or contact your local recycling stations to recycle our containers.
